Welcome!

This website documents the activities of the ‘African Farming Research Network’. The network aims to share knowledge and methodological approaches across Africa so as to develop novel interdisciplinary pan-African perspectives on the history and development of African farming systems. The Network brings together researchers from a range of disciplinary backgrounds working on projects in Kenya (Marakwet), Nigeria (Tiv) and South Africa (Bokoni).  The Network is funded by a three year British Academy International Partnerships and Mobility grant which runs from 2013-2015 and we expect to hold a series of meetings and field-workshops across the duration of the grant.
